An Incline Village man has been formally charged with murder. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office say 44 year old Ismeal Resendiz-Moreno, has been booked on a charge of murder as part of the ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred Tuesday morning inside a residence on Southwood Boulevard in Incline Village.

The suspect was immediately detained by responding deputies and has cooperated with the investigation.....

The Reno Fire Department is reporting that a man has admitted setting a fire at a downtown Reno office building, when he surrendered at the E 4th St fire station. 37-year-old Christopher Nixon was arrested and booked on one count of arson in the 1st degree, manufacturing an explosive device, and burglary. Fire investigators say he went to an upper floor in the high-rise building at 100 W. Liberty St. around noon on January 17th and started a fire using a gasoline-filled bottle. Fortunately, the fire was discovered and contained before it could cause significant damage.....

A fatal officer-involved shooting last night in Sparks is now under investigation by the Reno Police Department. It happened just after 10pm in the 1100 block of 15th Street. A Sparks police officer was attempting to make a traffic stop when Humberto Vera-Munoz jumped out of their vehicle and attempted to run. Two officers  were involved in the shooting, details about why they fired have not been released.....
