Reno police are investigating a shooting that took place early this morning. Around 4 am they were dispatched to the Shop and Go gas station on Moana Lane. When they arrived, officers found a man bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. A preliminary investigation led police to the crime scene on the 800 block of Gentry Way, at the Shade Tree Village Mobile Home Park. Last night around 10:30 pm Reno Police Officers were dispatched to St Mary's Hospital on the report that a victim of a stabbing that had just arrived. Officers located suspect 30 year old Skyler George Henry Diaz, covered in blood on the 3600 block of Gypsum Rd. On scene investigation led to Diaz being arrested for battery with a deadly weapon. This investigation is on-going and police ask that anyone with information relating to this crime contact Secret Witness at 322-4900.

Reno Police Lieutenant Scott Shaw says last night a little after 6:-00 officers were called to reports of shots fired at the America's Best Value Inn on East Seventh Street. Lieutenant Shaw says Officers determined that the subject with the gunshot wound was the suspect in an Armed Robbery and Kidnapping. He's identified as Ryan Anderson and is accused of holding a female at gun point and attempting to rob her boyfriend when he returned home. A struggle began between the boyfriend and the suspect. The boyfriend was able to wrestle the gun away and shoot Anderson in his leg. The boyfriend then held Anderson at gun point until Reno PD arrived. Lieutenant Shaw says Once Anderson is released from the hospital, he'll be taken to Washoe County Jail and charged with Kidnapping and Armed Robbery.

Firefighters say a motor home caught fire in the 300 block of West Gepford Parkway in Sun Valley yesterday destroying the home. The fire department got the call a little after 5:00. Firefighters were able to quickly put the fire out. There were no injuries. Investigators say the cause appears to be accidental.

At least four fire agencies responded to a fire in the Round Hill neighborhood near Zephyr Cove, at about 8 p.m. last night. Firefighters kept the blaze confined to a single structure and put out the flames within about 20 minutes. Four adults and two children have been displaced by the blaze and three pets were killed. American Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteers are meeting with the people to make sure they have safe places to sleep and have food, clothing, medication and other essentials.

On New years eve at approximately 6:15 pm, Reno Police officers responded to reports of shots fired at the America's Best Value Inn.
