The investigation into the misconduct complaints against former Reno City Manager Andrew Clinger have culminated in a 96-page report. The investigation determined that some sexual harassment complaints from three women were credible while others could not be substantiated. The investigator determined that the women acted in unison in an effort to get Clinger fired. Investigator David Wall, who is a retired judge from Clark County said Reno City Councilwoman Naomi Duerr urged the women to file the complaints. Clinger was terminated in September.

The Nevada Seismological Laboratory at the University of Nevada is reporting a series of earthquakes felt throughout northern Nevada and in California. The first, a magnitude 5.8, hit at 12:18 a.m. this morning, 18 miles southwest of Hawthorne, Nevada. That quake was followed by six more over the next hour ranging from 3.5 to 5.7 magnitude. There were no reports of serious damage.

Around $39 million in federal grant funds have been slated for construction of the 4th Street/Prater Way Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project between Reno and Sparks. The money is coming from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration to improve connections for people who travel from downtown Sparks to downtown Reno. The 3.1-mile BRT line will follow the Highway 40 corridor, and four electric buses, a fast-charge station, four branded passenger stations with level boarding are planned. They're also adding real-time schedule information, transit signal priority upgrades, and pedestrian and bicycle improvements. The BRT line is expected to be up and running sometime in 2019.
