In this episode, I’m unpacking the absolute chaos with husband Eddy Simpson trying to get a simple, clear answer about my galactocele. I went through multiple appointments, different diagnoses, clashing opinions, and weeks of stress before finally landing with a breast surgeon who gave me the clarity and direction I needed. No mum should have to navigate this in early postpartum — especially while dealing with the noise and judgement around formula feeding. I hope this helps even one person 🤍

This week on Kolide Goss, we sit down with our beautiful friend Elo, whose story is nothing short of extraordinary. Diagnosed with late stage 2 / early stage 3 breast cancer at just 33 — while 13 weeks pregnant — Elo began chemotherapy at 15 weeks and faced two types of breast cancer, including triple negative.

What followed was a journey of strength and surrender: 16 rounds of chemo, the premature birth of her baby boy Max at 26 weeks, months in the NICU, another melanoma diagnosis, and finally, major surgery and radiotherapy — all within one year.

Through it all, Elo’s resilience, humour and grace shine. She shares what it’s really like to navigate treatment while pregnant, life in NICU, recovery, motherhood, and finding perspective when everything changes.

A story of bravery, love, and the power of a mother’s instinct — this is one you won’t forget. 💗
