If I were to tell you that many people across the world die for the cause of science, you probably wouldn't believe me, or maybe you would think that I am talking about the famous historical trials of Plato, Copernicus or Galileo, the trial and the subsequent murder I am about to tell you about today is firmly in the lineage and tradition of scientific secularism, perhaps you have heard of the likes of Christopher Hichens and Martin Aims, India too has a long tradition of such figures a notable few being Swami Vivekananda and RRMR among numerous others. The story I am telling you today is about the life and murder of a man who had dedicated his life to the cause of science and scientific temper. This is the story of Dr Narendra Dabholkar.
