We are joined by Prexy Nesbit an activist educator who has worked for more than four decades to connect the peoples of Africa and North America in struggle. Prexy attended college in Dar es Salaam Tanzania, worked on the staff of the World Council of Churches, provided aid and material to the liberation movements in South Africa and worked in national politics in the United States. He has written extensively on southern Africa and was the editor of the Chicago based newsletter African Agenda and the co editor of Baobab Notes: News and Reviews from Southern Africa. He worked with filmmaker Robert Van Lierop and assisted in the editing of “Return to the Source” on Amiclar Cabral. Throughout his many years of solidarity work Prexy came friends and comrades to many of the leaders of the liberation movement in Southern Africa.
