  • When your abusive ex enlists the alt right: Zoe Quinn
Zoe Quinn was an independent game developer with an abusive ex. He went to the dark corners of the internet and convinced a small army of trolls that (sexism alert) she'd only succeeded by sleeping with a reviewer. In short order, people we now know as the alt right  methodically set out to do everything possible to destroy her life--and she fought back. Her book, Crash Override [1], looks at the role of everything from the courts to the social platforms in making the hell she went through possible -- and what to do about it.

  • Tech, Media, and Antifa
Two weeks after Charlottesville, the national conversation about extremism flipped 180 degrees, from "what do we do about white supremacist groups?" to "what do we do about antifa?" So, how did it happen?
We take you inside the chat rooms where right-wing extremist groups planned their image-management strategy before protests in Charlottesville, VA; then into a "influence network" of bot-controlled Twitter accounts that started amplifying anti-antifa messages.

  • Does Uber deserve the death penalty?
Harvard Business School professor Benjamin Edelman is troubled by one thing many of the latest tech darlings have in common: building a business by breaking the law. He thinks it won't stop until someone in government makes an example of someone in tech -- and if he had his druthers, it might be Uber [1].
