KPOP KORNER

Omg it’s happening, this was meant to be a brief deep dive into one of Laila’s ult groups: Seventeen but I got a little carried away hehehe.

We will explore their journey from debut, their discography, all 13 members and why they are known as the self producing idols!

(also sorry I got so emosh  but I JUST LOVE SEVENTEEN SO MUCH - Laila)

This is perhaps our most chaotic monthly recap yet... and we apologize! Not a lot of stuff happened in April yet we still felt like we had a lot to say! From performances at coachella to strange comeback concepts and of course some dating rumors, honestly April had it all... BUT WE ARE JUST PREPARING FOR THE STORM THAT IS MAY.

**Just a little CW we talked about EPEX's comeback and the Antisemitism accusations if you want to skip it starts at 27:55 - 29:28.

Have you ever heard people talk about certain elements in a song and had absolutely no idea what they were talking about? WELL THEN THIS EPISODE IS FOR YOU! This is a Marah’s very basic beginner’s guide TO A BEGINNER’S GUIDE to KPOP song structure and elements! In this episode Marah will cover some music terminology with examples from KPOP so that when you want to talk about a KPOP song you sound like you know your sh*t.

PSA - We are 100% not experts in this subject and this is just information gathered after doing research and asking people who studied music theory. If there are any mistakes please let us know nicely because I (Marah) will cry 😂

Whether you've been in KPOP for a while or you're still a newborn... you definitely know that no one on Earth is as observant as KPOP Stans! From tiny reflections on utensils to different entertainment worlds colliding in the most random way!? It's time we honor/talk/laugh about some of the most ridiculous and funniest scandals that came out of this tiny KPOP bubble we live in.

** The majority of these rumors have been debunked and we're just sharing them cause they're funny - genuinely nothing is serious here lol **

The first month of the year is over AND WOW WHAT A YEAR THIS MONTH'S BEEN. To put it nicely... January in KPOP was full of disappointment, and Covid Cases BUT WOW DID THE MUSIC MAKE UP FOR IT ALL!!! We recorded this on a Monday so we naturally struggled to get any words out today lol sorry about that.

Also MR FBI man listening to the podcast... thank you for making some of our dreams/nightmares come true (This is Marah Speaking)

Thank you for listening always <3 we appreciate youuuuu
