Krackle Comics Weekly Reviews

Episode #51 kicks off with a big number of books like Batman: Black and White! Plus we get to see the consensus #1 pick of 2020 for us in the return of Daredevil with issue #26. How does Zdarsky handle the King in Black crossover? Also the return of X-Men corner proper! We got something for everyone here. Meanwhile in Future State land...not so much...you can hear through our voices it has run its course so this is most likely the last dual recording for the separation between the usual rundown and Future State being separated. Though there's usually one highlight and we found it in Superman vs. Imperious Lex. Like the show? Don't forget to give us those 5 Stars and leave a review!

In the regular rundown there were 3 huge releases and a surprise highlight for us. Batman/Catwoman #2, DCeased: Dead Planet's finale and King in Black #3. The surprise being a Larry Hama Iron Fist book. Overall a solid week on the regular...as Future State continues to unimpress though there were highlights in Catwoman and Superman: Worlds of War.

Another week of comics...and honestly not a big release week at all for us but we came away really liking Haha #1 which was our first hat trick pick of the week for 2021 and it comes only in our 2nd show of the new year! Future State had some fun in the debut of their Justice League, and also a Superman and Wonder Woman team up! Overall though not a terribly huge week of picks for us to get through.

Happy Thanksgiving! The crew decided to gift you a review this week of the Image OGN from the masterful team of Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, Pulp. It's no stranger that all of us have been vocal fans of this creative team for some time and we felt that this would be the perfect time to review and discuss it. How does it stand up to their other works like Criminal, Kill or Be Killed, and The Fade Out? Listen and see!

In what will be the final show before the Thanksgiving break the guys have a mountain of books to get through from Aquaman getting finally getting married all the way to end of the Bwahaha era Justice League in the Retro. A lot to discuss in this one as we look to close out November.
