This week on Kraken Cans Cast, we’re heading down to Arkansas to investigate one of the state’s strangest legends — the White River Monster, better known as Whitey.

In 1973, 11-year-old Fay and her 10-year-old friend Bobby were playing near Sandown on the Isle of Wight when they heard a strange sound coming from the countryside. Following it led them to a bizarre encounter with a towering, colorful figure who called himself Sam.

In this Cryptid Minisode, we’re looking back at our time at the 2026 Central PA Bigfoot & Cryptid Festival! We talk about what goes on behind the scenes as members of the festival committee, the night before the big event, setting up our table, meeting up with some familiar faces, selling merch, drinking some unexpected beers, and all the weird and wonderful stuff we found along the way.
