Remember "2001: A Space Odyssey"? The black monolith on the moon? Got the same feeling when traveling through the Toscany area near Volterra. In a sundried vast landscape there was suddenly this ring-shaped monument. Like something from out of this world. Impressive and inspiring.

"Monuments" captures this motive and cinematic reminiscense in seven tracks that oscillate between dub, abstract and Kraut electronic with plenty of weird sounds, moving rhythms and subsonic basslines. Recorded within two days end of Dec 2019 with sort of Punkrock attitude: It's not the perfect pitch, it's the energy that counts.

KRAUT SOUNDS and DEEP TREMOLO SUSTAIN team up for their third live session. This time doing a slowly evolving ambient electronic set of freeform soundscapes and drones, sometimes harsh and repetive, sometimes smooth. But always focused to the max.

KS and DTS use various analogue and digital equipment. Recorded at the Orbit Room in July 2019.

The tracks of "Tempera" are based on random mistakes of my electronic equipment. Including broken filters, old cables and bad solder joints. But anyway, it sounds cool. Somehow old-school, Kraut electronic, early 80ies when I started making music. Tried to leave it as pure as possible. Punk Rock, yeah.

The northern side of the Alps is drowning in snow. Time for hibernation, meditation and music.

"Hibernation" uses some patterns of my old track "Aurora Borealis" from the second Kraut Sounds EP "Space Mantra" (Jan 2013).

For the 10th release of Drone Works International German ambient and dub techno artist KRAUT SOUNDS and Italian ambient drone master VELO DI NEBBIA team up for a trippy, almost two hour live session which they did at The Orbit Room in Upper Bavaria / Germany.

Besides some new sonic ideas they're using fragments of their previous recordings, sometimes just remaining shadows of sounds and tracks. Mixing ambient, drone and dub electronic elements into a stunning listening experience. Plug in and drift away...
