“Echoes” is the second full length album of Kraut Sounds – a pleasant journey into the world of ambient music featuring meditative sounds, atmospheric drones and cinematic soundscapes.

The nine tracks of “Echoes” are deeply inspired by the overwhelming grandeur of nature and the beauty of landscapes and natural structures: From deep down (“Ancient Earth Drone”) to heavenly moments (“Breathe”, “Diving Into Air”), from sonic explorations (“Crystal Waters”, “Echoes”) to mind-expanding sceneries (“Floating”). Every track tells a story.

“Echoes” is a quiet and peaceful album. Just a few rhythmic elements, but lots of looping ambient sounds, free-form electronic drone patterns, distant piano melodies and field recordings. “Echoes” creates a deep and colourful world of floating textures and lots of surprising and timeless moments. Peace of mind, nothing else. "In silence I hear echoes..."

Last weekend I had the pleasure to play live at the wonderful Les Digitales in Lausanne/Swiss, a festival for electronic and experimental music. It took place on 13th August 2016 at the beautiful Parc du Denenatou with an awesome view to the mountains and the lake Geneva.

"Light & Space" is inspired by the light and views of the French Riviera in autumn when all lights look dimmed, soaked in soft colours. Everything becomes translucent, airy, kind of abstract: The landscape, the sea, geometric structures, natural shapes.

The tracks try to reflect this experience with minimal structures and patterns, airy dubs, floating sounds and melodies. Like objects made of transparent, translucent or reflective materials put into a ray of light – affecting the environment and the perception of the viewer vice versa.

All tracks were originally recorded for an one hour ambient dub live session, released 1st January 2016 on Spiel:feld Records, Berlin (thanks Elke!).
