Instead of pushing for an actual end to the war, Trump is helping Putin reestablish economic ties with the U.S. and global standing while legitimizing Russia’s continued occupation of Ukrainian territory and genocidal war.
* Kidnapped Ukrainian Children & War Crimes Accountability – The Trump regime cut funding for Yale’s program tracking kidnapped Ukrainian children, ensuring Russia’s war crimes go unpunished. Meanwhile, the U.S. is pulling out of an international effort to hold Russia, Belarus, Iran, and North Korea accountable for aggression against Ukraine. * Suspension of Counter-Russian Sabotage Efforts – Several U.S. national security agencies have halted work on countering Russian terror, sabotage, disinformation, and cyberattacks, making it easier for Moscow to destabilize Western democracies. Trump’s National Security Council has stopped holding regular meetings with European allies on Russian threats, betraying our key alliances while emboldening Russia. Source: Reuters
* French Scientist Denied U.S. Entry – A French scientist was detained and denied entry into the U.S. after border agents found private messages critical of Trump on his phone. This feels straight out of Russia’s playbook—where border controls and state power are used to punish critics and silence free speech. Source: The Guardian
