Still trying to figure out waste in Jos

Renew Our World is a radio program that discusses issues around environment and climate change.

On this maiden episode, Joey and I talk waste management with our guests. This is a program supported by Tear Fund.

Mr Sunday Dankaka (a youth leader in Mangu LGA) gives some background to the situation there, following the most recent conflict that, yet again, saw several people attacked and killed in January 2024.

He talks about genesis of the strained relationship between indigenes and Fulanis in Mangu.

I finally got the opportunity to speak with a resident and indigene of Bokkos, the Local Government in Plateau State where over a dozen villages were attacked the night before Christmas 2023.

According to him, many displaced people are still in IDP camps, but are forced to go back for harvest due to theft.

Mallo also talks a bit about the relationship between Bokkos people and the Fulanis.
