You are no doubt familiar with comedian Frank Caliendo’s work. You have seen him on the Fox Network, Mad TV, Fox NFL Sunday, Frank TV on TBS and more. His impressions of John Madden, President Donald Trump, Jeff Goldblum, Ted Knight, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neesen, and countless others have also made him a semi-regular on The Bob and Tom Show.
On the podcast today we find out how Frank is changing his stand up act to be more Frank Caliendo and less impressions. Finding your voice isn't always easy.
For Frank, his journey has included acting lessons and telling more personal stories about his wife and two kids. We also learn how Frank got his start in comedy, his first big break, his love of table tennis, future acting roles and so much more.
Frank Caliendo has plenty to say as “Frank” and I was engrossed. I think you will be too! Enjoy!

Not sure why I gave this show the Summer Lovin’ title, except it was a summer night and Britt, Tiffany and I tackled all kinds of topics including love. All kinds of love; self love, royal love (royal wedding), relationship love, fantasy love, you get the idea.
We also discuss dieting and how Britt likes her food “on fire” literally! Have you ever heard of a drama eater? Me either, we learn about that in this episode.
And for some bizarre reason we shared ideas for our own funerals. Other topics I had jotted down in my notes with no other explanations include: Body Holiday in St. Lucia, Handmaids Tale, Fortnite the video game, poison ivy, 4th of July, online dating, movies, and the Thai rescue operation.
I hope we touched on something you have to hear more about! Cheers!

Try interviewing two Indy Car drivers when one of them is from Columbia and Columbia is taking on England in the World Cup on the TV above your head! I had the honor of doing just that with todays show featuring two time INDY 500 winner Al Unser Jr and INDY car driver Gabby Chaves.
While Gabby may be teaching Al a thing or two about soccer, Al is being paid to coach Gabby in everything racing. After retiring from a successful driving career, Al Unser Jr is now employed by Harding Racing. And for Al it’s a dream come true.
His new career finds him wearing all kinds of different hats, coach, obtaining sponsorships, helping in the shop, consultant almost anything asked of him except actually driving the car.
This lively banter between the two drivers is full of April Fools Day pranks, drones, road rage, oddest vehicle ever raced, death defying pace car laps with Bob, Tom, me and Al around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and more.
Plus you may even be inspired by the touching story of Al’s daughter Cody and her life changing foundation. All in all a great ride!
Enjoy!

From a small town in southern Indiana to opening for Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban, Clayton Anderson is taking on country music.
It hasn’t been an easy battle and he continues to fight but Clayton has the talent, drive and likability to make it big! Although he didn’t pick up a guitar until his senior year in high school he learned fast.
He started a band while attending Indiana University in Bloomington but after college started working in the “real world” at a mortgage company and in landscaping.
Entering the Kenny Chesney’s Next Big Star battle-of-the-bands contest changed everything. He won the Cincinnati round in 2008 and opened for Kenny at the Riverbend Music Center. He shares a bit of what it was like backstage that night complete with a Leann Rimes sighting.
Afterwards he was officially bitten by the music bug and moved to Nashville to pursue a career. This naive young man arrived in 2009 with a dream and a lot of determination. After a few years of hitting the pavement, writing songs and dropping off CDs all over Nashville he released his first album “Torn Jeans & Tailgates” in 2011.
We are so lucky to have Clayton perform for us live “Only to Borrow” off that album. He has continued to write and record and treats us to another live tune “Your Love is Like Country Music”.
Learn what it takes to make it in the world of music from writing, performing and marketing yourself as an artist. A man with a heart of gold and a bushel full of talent, catch him on tour!

If you grew up in Central Indiana in the 70’s and 80’s you probably listened to WNAP. Cris Connor and his band of rebel “djs” changed the radio landscape and left a mark on many a listener. I would be one.
I was in high school when I first heard “the Wrath of the Buzzard”. It was in your face, loud, exciting, topical, and the music: free form. It sounded like their parents were gone for the weekend and they could get away with anything, and they did.
I was fortunate to sit down in the Bob & Tom studios with a few of the major players recently: Cris Connor, Fast Freddy Fever, Bruce Munson, Ann Craig and Buster Bodine. Talk about stories.
We find out how all of this madness started, how each player came to be a part of the station, the beginning of the legendary Raft Race, and some promotions that may not have been so successful.
Also favorite memories from each of our guests. One involves death and another a carpet square (guess which jock carried his own carpet square).
We also discuss other great jocks who honed their skills at the controls of 93.1 The Buzzard.
This show was so much fun and a dream come true for this gal. I am proud to say I did join the ranks of the Buzzard in 1981 albeit part time. So now, not only can I say I was on the staff I can also call these talented folks my friends!

After spending many years in the corporate world jewelry designer Judi Powers was ready for a change. She enrolled in a jewelry making class in 2002 and found her true passion.
Judi has taken classes at 92Y, Jewelry Arts Institute, S.V.A. (School of Visual Arts in NYC), Brooklyn Metal Works and Studio Jewelers. In 2013 she earned her AAS Degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Jewelry Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
I had a chance to meet her recently and we discussed what it takes to make a HUGE career change after almost 20 years in marketing. I was also fascinated with Judi’s choice of materials. Working with a lot of raw stones and unusual gemstones like dendritic agate her work is quite unique.
Learn about sustainability in jewelry and why she chooses materials like green gold. Inspired by nature and her grandmother Judi’s story is an inspiration for all and a great lesson on where jewelry actually comes from and how labor intensive some work can be.
Take a look at her website and be awed by her talent. Complete disclosure, I ended up buying one of her rings and I haven’t taken it off!

As a doctor in human sexuality Sadie Allison has spent her career helping others find pleasure. What started as “free” advice in high school has led to her authoring 7 books and a thriving online retail store for adult “novelties”.
Sadie shares with us how her mission began to help others in the bedroom. With the help of shows like Sex in the City the topic of pleasure is a bit less taboo. And Sadie has much to say about it.
She will share some of the interesting things she has discovered in her research: The most important sex organ on a woman, the difference between love and “just sex”, how communication is critical and many more topics that I simply can’t put into text.
You might learn something that jump starts your love life. A bit of an audio tickle, if you will. more info: ticklekitty.com (mature subject matter)
Karma, Dharma, Dali Lama, Free Will, Unconditional Love just a few of the terms we will cover on this weeks show.
Marilene is a world renowned clairvoyant, intuitive therapist, spiritual healer and a long time friend. Her career includes features on popular radio programs including Chick McGee’s Podcast and documentaries. She has also hosted multiple radio and television shows.
She actually shares a story about meeting Ted Turner and his hopes for a 24hr “good news” network. The basis of THIS show however is change. Not to be afraid of it. Embrace the new while letting go of fear.
Marilene recently moved from Indiana to Los Angeles California, a major upheaval rather late in life. She shares what it is like to make such a change and why.
We also discuss all of the words you see at the top of this page. Do you believe in past lives? Marilene has a great story about one of hers. And no conversation between the two of us would be complete without reliving our Dali Lama experience complete with Steven Seagal!
And Marilene even sees a love match for me this summer. I hope you enjoy this hour as much as we did bringing it to you. More Info: https://www.facebook.com/marilene.isaacs
We are scratching the surface on a tough topic in this episode, Opioids and Heroin addiction with Indiana State Senator Jim Merritt.
Senator Merritt has undertaken the huge job of trying to kill heroin use in 5 years in his state of Indiana. He is 2 years into his fight and we talk about how far he has come and how much work still needs to be done.
The opioid/heroin epidemic has hit almost all of us. No matter your race, economic status, religion, age we all know someone who has been hit with this sweeping disease. I call it a disease for a reason. Addiction is an illness it is NOT a character flaw. Let’s loose the stigmas attached to the word “addiction” and start helping people.
That’s Senator Merritt’s message and he shares many useful tools. Including; prevention/education, treatment programs, going after drug lords, updated drug teams to assist after an overdose in hospitals, alternate medicines and devices to block pain receptors, and even clean needle exchange programs.
There is no clear cut answer to this epidemic but at least we are opening up a conversation and getting some new information out there that may help. Find out how you can make a difference. We need you!

Kristi has alluded to the fact that her mom has recently gone through a difficult time and that has meant an increase in her time away from the podcast. Plus we are honoring Morty's Comedy Joint, which always holds a special place in our heart because it hosted the first Kristi Lee Uninterrupted Live Show (and all the subsequent live shows). It is in forced relocation mode and has closed until the end to middle of Summer.
So what better throwback episode than the time we went live with Jimmy 'Mad Dog' Matis and talked early Bob & Tom, the time he fought a bear, avoided his wife and more.
--------------------------
Jimmy may be a funny guy but he is happy and content with his life after 25 years with Q95 and the Bob and Tom Show. He now works for the Indianapolis Colts securing sponsors and doing off-season radio. But most of all, he feels blessed with a wife of 30 years and five boys. He enjoys entertaining in his pool house and whiffle ball field.
Jimmy Matis (aka Dog) joins Kristi Lee live at Morty’s Comedy Joint to reminisce about the old days of the Bob and Tom Show, along with the wild and crazy times...road trips, excursions in the Bahamas, singing backup, among many more.
What happens when George Lopez, Chick McGee, and Jimmy ‘Mad Dog’ Matis hang out in Tijuana? Find out on this live version of Kristi Lee Uninterrupted. If you’re into Bob and Tom history, then you’ll love this show.
