Ryan Strong is an Ayurvedic Doctor, Vedic Astrologer, and Spiritual Teacher in the Kriya Yoga Lineage. He spent 19 years in discipleship training under his Guru, Mr. Roy Eugene Davis, who was a direct disciple of Parmahansa Yogananda. Ryan was ordained by his guru in May of 2011 to continue the Kriya Yoga tradition. He now runs The Center for Ayurvedic and Yogic Healing, based in Sacramento, California, working with students and clients around the world.
For those new to the Kriya Yoga; it is a traditional spiritual path; an ancient system of enlightenment, non-suffering and self-empowerment. It is the cultivation of external and internal disciplines. Through the regular practice of Kriya Yoga, one experiences greater physical relaxation and emotional peace. The goal is to experience clarity and superconscious states of awareness, culminating in the awakening, or realizing, of the true essence of being. Kriya Yoga is a non-denominational spiritual practice open to anyone wishing to experience greater peace, clarity, and wholeness.
Today, Sasha and Ryan explore his spiritual journey, which was profoundly sparked upon reading Yogananda’s book, “Man’s Eternal Quest” at 19, and then onto “Whispers from Eternity” and perhaps his most famous “Autobiography of a Yogi,” - the favorite of a few yogis you may have heard of, George Harrison and Steve Jobs. We learn about personal change agents from Ryan, as he has been a major influence in Sasha's life, both as her Ayurvedic Doctor and Vedic Astrologer for the past 7 years. She is one of many people whose lives have benefited from his mere presence and existence, let alone teachings, and on behalf of us all, would like to say "thank you" to Ryan.
