Here comes the wind again. Widespread wind advisories will be in effect across North Texas from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, with wind gusts potentially reaching 45 mph, especially toward the Red River Valley.

The city of Richardson is working with a private company to start looking at plans for development around Arapaho Center Station. The stop serves DART's Orange and Red lines and is two stops south of the Silver Line which is scheduled to open later this year.

Grand Prairie police are asking for help finding a 5-year-old boy who might be in danger. Santiago Aburto Gonzalez was last seen at his family's apartment Sunday night, according to police.

Monday will bring plenty of sunshine, with highs approaching 80 degrees in North Texas. However, a high grass fire danger continues west of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, as Red Flag Warnings have been issued.

The Allen Fire Department has activated its wildland firefighting team to respond to the potential for brush fires Friday. A High Wind Warning runs through 7 p.m. across the Metroplex; a Red Flag Warning continues until 9 p.m.

Critical to extreme fire weather conditions are expected across North Texas on Friday, with wind gusts up to 60 mph. It marks the most dangerous fire conditions in Dallas-Fort Worth in nearly 15 years.

Six Flags Over Texas started opening daily Thursday to welcome families on spring break. The park in Arlington will stay open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. through March 22; on March 23, the park will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Unfortunately, North Texas missed out on the rain on Wednesday, and now the area will be dealing with dry conditions, a roller coaster ride with temperatures, and a High Wind Watch in place for Friday.

The weather this weekend will be perfect for enjoying time outside as both the Dallas Arboretum and Fort Worth Botanic Garden celebrate spring. There's also plenty of live music and comedy all over North Texas.

The Maypearl ISD school board called a special meeting Wednesday night to hear parents' concerns about the district's primary school reopening. The city's fire chief closed Maypearl Primary School last week because of elevated levels of carbon dioxide.
