The Austin Police department says the man who opened fire at a Target store killing three people chose his victims at random. Investigators say 32-year-old Ethan Nieneker claimed he was 'Jesus' when initially questioned by police and he obtained the firearm through a family member.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott says he will call another special session immediately following the end of the first one if House Democrats don't return to Austin. The House and Senate are planning to adjourn on Friday, so the governor says he'll keep lawmakers in Austin for at least another 30 days.

Garland Police have identified the man who was found dead in his jail cell over the weekend. 31-year-old William Hunter Kimbrough of Allen was found unresponsive and was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
