The Fort Worth Police Department will launch a number of ways for concerned residents to report illegal fireworks being fired off within city limits as we get closer to the Fourth of July. Interim Police Chief Robert Alldredge told the City Council they have an e-mail address that will be monitored.

Governor Greg Abbott was in Denton, Texas Monday. He was surrounded by republican lawmakers signing property tax relief legislation into law.

The Dallas City Council has sworn in new members. According to Mayor Eric Johnson, they will stay busy as the city is getting ready for world-wide attention.

The Plano bomb squad responded to an incident Monday involving an abandoned replica grenade discovered on a charter bus. The grenade was eventually found to be inert and it belonged to a passenger who had been on the bus the previous day.

Several North Texas cities were the site of "No Kings" protests in opposition to policies from the Trump administration. In Dallas, protesters marched from the main gathering outside Dallas City Hall. Demonstrations were held north of Dallas and Fort Worth including in both Frisco and Denton.

There are growing worries about what happens if a measles exposure occurs in a North Texas school with low vaccination rates. This follows the first measles case reported in Dallas County this week.

Air raid sirens have sounded across Israel as Iranian missiles strike the country. The rumble of explosions could be heard throughout Jerusalem on Friday, and Israeli TV stations showed plumes of smoke rising in Tel Aviv after an apparent missile strike.
