Dallas ISD officials delivered an update on Thursday about the investigation into the shooting at Wilmer-Hutchins High School earlier this week.

The beautiful weather should stick around Thursday and Friday before severe weather returns to North Texas over the weekend. The weather will remain quiet through Friday evening, after which waves of showers and storms, some severe, will impact DFW.

Showers and thunderstorms return to North Texas over the weekend, and some may become severe on Saturday.

Severe weather chances typically increase in the second half of April, potentially impacting North Texas through mid-June. An active weather pattern is expected to unfold towards the weekend, but Mother Nature will provide a beautiful weather pattern for the remainder of the week.

Monday began with partly cloudy and humid conditions and temperatures in the 60s. This is relatively mild for this time of year. A cold front is expected to move through the area Monday afternoon, bringing cooler temperatures.
