April is Bluebonnet Month in Ennis. KRLD's Russell Scott caught up with Ennis Chamber of Commerce President Jeffrey Williams to talk about this weekend's Bluebonnet Festival and this year's crop of bluebonnets.

North Texas can expect beautiful weather through at least the middle of next week. Cool mornings and warm afternoons will continue for the foreseeable future. Temperatures started in the 50s on Thursday, but a weak cold front will move through the area, shifting winds to the north and dropping temperatures a few degrees for Friday.

It should be a beautiful weekend to be outside across North Texas, with art festivals in Dallas and Fort Worth, the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival, and comedy in Deep Ellum. Plus, the American Rodeo Championship comes to Arlington.

Wednesday started with temperatures in the 40s and 50s across North Texas. Expect plenty of sunshine, breezy conditions, and warm temperatures, with afternoon highs reaching the mid-80s, 10 degrees above average for this time of year.

Fort Worth Police have started construction on a station to serve the northwestern part of the city.

Volunteers with the Red Cross left Fort Worth Tuesday morning to help victims of flooding in Kentucky.
