  • Shooting in Kearns & Should Your Teen Drive to School?
A developing story out of Kearns leads today's show — police activity near three schools triggered secure protocols, and Unified Police Department Assistant Chief Justin Hoyle is expected to provide updates. We break down what we know so far and later bring in former Salt Lake City Police Chief Chris Burbank to discuss the investigation, where things go from here, and the alarming similarities to the Rose Park funeral shooting earlier this year.
In our Three Things: Hayden Panettiere, beloved star of "Heroes" and "Nashville," has died at 36. Plus, a black bear in Logan has been euthanized after roaming Cache Valley for days.
Attorney Brett Rosen from Nelson Jones joins us to walk through what happens after an officer-involved shooting, following the Taylorsville incident where police shot and killed a man armed with a knife during a burglary investigation.
Former Salt Lake City Police Chief, Chris Burbank brings analysis on the shooting in Kearns that took place at a funeral and how it is similar to the shooting at another funeral in Rose Park earlier this year.
As school starts, we're asking: should you let your newly licensed teen drive to school? We're taking your texts and calls, breaking down the pros and cons, and talking tips every parent needs to hear before handing over the keys as Ethan weighs the decision with his daughter.
