President Trump is once again caught between a foreign policy rock and a hard place. He announced an “energy ceasefire” between Russia and Ukraine, but Zelenskyy posted Sunday that Russian drones have been pounding Ukraine “all day,” adding, “A power plant in Kharkiv was attacked this evening.” Trump is simultaneously locked in a war of words with Zelenskyy, suggesting he should be replaced after demanding Ukraine stop hitting Russian refineries — and blaming him for high diesel prices. Now, to bring those prices down, Trump is cutting a deal for Russia to supply hundreds of thousands of tons of diesel fuel, drawing opposition from several GOP lawmakers. And another front is flaring. Trump says the U.S. “may” join the fight against the Iran-backed Houthis after a new Riyadh airport attack and more hits Sunday.
Guest host Edward Lawrence with Rebecca Heinrichs, Richard Goldberg, Phil Flynne, Michael Faulkender, Christina Skinner, Byron York, Hogan Gidley and Sen. Marsha Blackburn

You just have to love it, while these Democratic candidates are out there tweeting and chirping and criticizing Mr. Trump and the GOP on the issue of affordability. Hahaha. In the first place, Trump way back in 2016 invented the term affordability, amidst much derision as he successfully ran in his first term. Now with a temporary gasoline spike from the Iran war, Democrats have latched on to the term affordability as some kind of midterm election life raft.

Of course, you wouldn’t know it from the media, but today’s job report for September was actually quite strong; it continues the economic boom that I’m now calling the greatest story that should be told. Here’s some factoids you’re not gonna read about in the legacy media: the household employment survey from which the unemployment rate is derived, that survey shows a whopping gain of 406,000 jobs. There’s a 1.1 million increase in new entrants and a 975,000 increase in jobs.

Things happen when you least expect it. How about the dissolution of Iran? We know their currency is worthless. It’s now 2.5 million per dollar. And Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent basically is saying that Iran’s gonna run out of cash in two weeks.

For those doomsters who believe the GOP is going to get clobbered in the midterm election, you ought to listen to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. He is the best Treasury Secretary since World War II. He is a tremendous proponent on the economy, trade, and China, and an imminent end to the Iran war. I interviewed him this past weekend on Sunday Morning Futures and he talked about the acceleration phase of the economy. In other words, it’s really taking off.
With General Keith Kellogg, Ken Fisher, Sen Tommy Tuberville, Miranda Devine, Byron York and Frank Bisignano.
