MORTAL KOMBAT!
Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party, and today is the beginning of our year long Arcade series. To begin our dive into the fighting game world, I sat down with Joe Dea of Thoughts from a Bearded Geek to discuss the early lore of Mortal Kombat. We discuss the buzz around the gaming series in the early 90s, and what the MK lore was like in the orignal trilogy of games.

Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party. To complete my Challenge to do a double episode drop, today I am back to review Hot Potato starring Jim Kelly. In this review, I trash this film. Some say that Hot Potato is the end of the Blackploitation era and the start of the Kung Fu era. If that's true, I would like a better film to represent that switch off. Besides, there's a whole other film genre that Hot Potato represents very well.

"What's his name? Black Samson. What's his game? He ain't got none."
Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party. Today, for the first review of 2026, I discuss Black Samson starring Rackne Tarkington. In this review, I discuss how William Smith's villain character is one of the more fleshed out villains I have seen within the blackploitation genre, and how Black Samson pulls from the Biblical account of the life of Samson for it's source material. Spoiler: Black Samson is a better role model than Bible Samson.

Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party. To kick off 2026, I am sitting down to discuss three of the biggest martial art media films coming out this year: Mortal Kombat 2, Street Fighter, and Rush Hour 4. How will the Netflix purchose of Warner Bros affect the release of Mortal Kombat 2? Will Street Fighter be as epic as it looks like it will be? And just wait till you hear how pissed I am about Rush Hour 4...

"Maybe it's one of those Karate weirdos like in the movies."
Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party. In today's episode, I dive into another Christmas movie, sorta. A Force of One starring Chuck Norris featuring the film debut of Bill "Superfoot" Wallace is a wonderful film filled with good acting, awsome fight scenes, and Christmas vibes. Superfoot is insane in this film and Chuck will shock you with how he finishes the final fight.

"This is the story of a sad flute, a crying baby, and a weeping sword."
Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party. In today's episode, I am here to prove two things: 1) that The Warrior's Way is a Christmas movie, and 2) that The Warrior's Way is a good movie that could become a cult classic. Proving that it's a Christmas movie is easy, and honestly so is proving that it's a good movie; you just need to hang in there to find out how.

Welcome to my dojang, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party. Today, I am joined by my wife Claire to review the biggest film to ever hit Netflix, KPop Demon Hunters. This movie is the complete package: great soundtrack, amazing animation, a good story with deep meaningful themes, and it is a culturally rich film as well. We also discuss our hopes for KPop Demon Hunters 2, and I do a deep dive into the weapons of Huntrix.

Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party, and a happy International Ninja Day to you all. To celebrate the ninja, I sit down to review 1993's Ninja Vengeance. It's a great elevator pitch, "Picture this, Ninja vs the Klan." Though it does have it's moments, especially with the fight choreography, this movie will leave you with whiplash from characters who don't know their motives and very unsatisfied by it's ending.
