Kung Fu Pizza Party

Welcome to my dojo, this is Drunken Fist Happy Hour, a special edition of Kung Fu Pizza Party where I put aside the 30 minutes or less stipulation, and instead I grab a drink and a friend and we let the conversation meander like Drunken Fist Kung Fu. With me today is Joshua Noel of Be Living Water to discuss Christian Taoism or Taoist Christianity. We are all on a spiritual journey, and in Josh's case, he has found a path to living his truest self found in Jesus and pursing the Tao.

"China must have an Emperor"

Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party. Today, to celebrate Michelle Yeoh who earlier this year received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, marking the first time a Malaysian has received that recognition, I sit down to review 1993's The Heroic Trio. Yeoh stars alongside Maggie Cheung, and The Queen of CantoPop Anita Mui in a fun, bonkers Hong Kong action, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, superhero film. This episode also features the return of one of my favorite cinematic weapons!

Chuck Norris doesn't rest in peace, peace rests in Chuck Norris.

Welcome back to Kung Fu Pizza Party. In today's episode, I strip down all the gimmicks to pay tribute to the icon himself, Chuck Norris who passed away this past Friday with a review of his first leading man role Breaker! Breaker! In the review, I discuss how overlooked this film often goes though it definitely still has the Americana vibe Chuck's films would go on to have, the fact that he is rescuing his brother is refreshing, and how I think this town may actually be a cult. Though I go into this episode to be respectful, I also must ask what the heck is going on with the horse at the end of the movie.

Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party. Today, I am here to fulfill the challenge to spend time is spiritual reflection using the book Zen in the Martial Arts as my prompt. On the surface, I enjoyed by introduction to the concept of zen, but deeper in, there are some things that I don't think I agree with, or maybe I'm not enlighted enough for it yet.

"I am a man now, and it's time I go home."

Welcome to my dojo this is Kung Fu Pizza Party, and a Happy Saint Patrick's Day to you all! To celebrate today, I am here to review Ireland's first martial art movie, Fatal Deviation starring James P. Bennett. This film is so bad, it was dubbed by Irish critics as The Worst Irish Made Film of All Time when it came out in 1998. But is it really that bad? Yes it is, but it also has a somewhat inspiring story behind it and some not too shabby fight scenes as well. Plus a hot babe.

"Going to Camp Blood ain't ya?"

Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party and a happy Friday the 13th to you all. For this Friday the 13th I sit down to review the first installment of the iconic namesake franchise which features tiny Kevin Bacon! I run down the kills in this movie, and I ask the question, "how do you defend yourself against a crazy old woman?" The answer may surprise you.

Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party, and a Happy International Women's Day to you all but especially the women. To celebrate this year, we dive into the world of one of China's most well known folk heroes, Hua Mulan. Mulan Legend picks things up where others usually leave off, what was war like for Mulan after her gender was known?

"Tis but a scratch"

Welcome to my dojo, sir brave knight, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party, but in today's episode things are getting Medieval as I review one of the greatest comedies of all time, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Yes, it's not a martial art movie, but it does have iconic combat in it.

"Dolemite is my name, and f-cking up motherf-ckers is my game."

Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party, and in honor of Black History Month I am here today to review Dolemite starring Rudy Ray Moore. Dolemite is an iconic, complicated, and extremely quirky film and character. In this episode, I share the history of the film and character while also processing the complicated nature of depicting a pimp as a hero both in modern times and even within the 1970s.

Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party. In today's episode, I cover the first series of 2026, the Netflix original series Blue Eye Samurai starring Maya Erskine, Brenda Song, and George Takei. This series is revenge Mama Mia set in Feudal Japan and deals with themes like honor and shame, taking back your power, and gender and sexuality; especially that sexuality part. This is the kinkiest episode yet.
