  • Homeless People Can Now Access Dental Care At Reno Clinic
    The Record Street Health Center provides primary care to homeless people in Reno. KUNR’s Anh Gray reports that recently, services were expanded to include dental care. Community Health Alliance provides access to care for underserved communities in Northern Nevada. They operate a facility at the Volunteers of America homeless shelters in downtown Reno and served more than 1,000 patients last year.   • Reno May Soon Build Tiny Home Village for Homeless
    Faith-based organizations and charity groups are looking to city leaders in Reno for help in creating a tiny house village to shelter some of the chronically homeless in the Truckee Meadows. Based on a similar village in Seattle, Washington, the plan would include 40 fairly austere tiny-homes. The buildings would provide few luxuries beyond four-walls, a roof and a door that locks.     A Reno-based company will be launching the nation’s first drone defibrillator delivery service to increase the dismal odds of surviving a cardiac arrest. The survival rate is about one in 10.
