KunstCapades

After a long journey west in the search of the lost Little Dancer, James Tantum is spotted carrying what appears to be a box of Tastykakes. We summoned him up to jr. tiki where he reveals what's inside, and awaits his reward. Is it real? Or just another well-executed forgery? Fortunately, Marv takes us to the moon to find the answer. Hitch a ride on KunstCapades episode 44!

While Marv mixes up a "London Wonderground," we spot artist Cathy Lu in the distance with an armful of cookies and coconut juice. She hopped onto the gondola and up to jr. tiki for a chat about art fairs, Miami, materials, mishaps, and more! It's KunstCapades episode 43!

From high above the city, in KCAP towers, we spot Banksy on his way to DJ practice. He hopped on the gondola and talked to us about his new career, his retrospective, and his plans for using his friend Maurizio Cattelan's new "Guggen-head." All this while Marv serves up an "Uncle Bill's Twist" in honor of Bill Murray and Chubby Checker. It's KunstCapades episode 42!

With the help of our new scissors lift to reach our high-powered Bushnell binoculars, we spot Mel Davis on the street far below the jr. tiki tower. She hopped on the gondola up to the bar, and joined us for talk of studio rituals, family decor, art sibling conspiracies, French-Canadian sensitivities, and much, much more! Take a ride on KunstCapades episode 41!

Surrounded by both mountains and bamboo, AND a newly tuned alpenhorn, we spot Jordan Stein off in the distance. He joined us for a chat about projects past and present, hot dogs, Bruce Connor, and famous artists' bitter sibs (featuring one Chico Chaz). It's KunstCapades episode 40!

It's part two of the KunstCapades San Francisco Art Book Fair foray! With the help of the temporary tower and our trusty Bushnell binoculars, we reeled in Brion Nuda Rosch, Anne McGuire, Ron Turner, and Andrew McClintock! Hop in the gondola, and up to jr. tiki today!

It's summer time, and the weather is right for a gondola ride! They've constructed a new line over to Minnesota St. Project for the inaugural San Francisco Art Book Fair! With the help of our Bushnells, we spot some of the folks involved in the fair, and manage to coax them into a precarious ride up to jr.tiki. Hear from Erin Dunigan, Sarah Tell, JamieAlexander, and Mitsu Okubo on PART ONE of this KunstCapades Special San Francisco Art Book Fair Extravaganza!

High above the marine layer in the new jr.tiki, we were minding our own business, grilling hot dogs on this 4th of July. Before long though, Death Cheetah and Venom hijacked the Gondola, our waves got scrambled, and we were left with the mark of a Banksky. Thankfully Marv served a reversal of fortune in time for Chrondog's big break. You heard it here first on the KunstCapades 4th of July Spectacular!

Petra Bibeau was only trying to buy a summer treat from the ice cream man, but we snapped her out of her ice cream truck dreams with a blow on the alphorn. Soon after she was on her way up to jr.tiki to talk MANIAC Gallery, Jaws, scary movies, and strange stones. All this and more on KunstCapades episode 37!

Just after slipping on our kinky, tall leather boots, we spot Jamie Stevens way off in the distance. With our new XL Bushnells, and a blow on the alpenhorn, we catch his attention and he rides the gondola all the way up for a visit. Marv concocts what she calls the "Copy Cake" in honor of art world forgeries, and we talk art crimes, hot deals, big rewards, and more! It's a mouthful of double trouble on KunstCapades episode 36!
