This edition of KVC-Arts is devoted to Chris Montez. David Fleming speaks with Chris about his hitting the charts with "Let's Dance" in 1962 - and having a relatively unknown group called The Beatles opening up for him by 1963. He ended up with a beer dumped on his head by John Lennon during this tour. We'll hear of his association with A&M records, and with the family of Ritchie Valens as well.

David Fleming speaks with Lakin, a Riverside native now in the LA area. Lakin has a few releases under her belt (lakinmusic.com), and has just started releasing singles leading toward her next CD. The first to be released was "Echoed Love," out only the day before the initial broadcast of this interview. As an actor, you would have seen Charles Weldon on Sanford and Son, Roots: Next Generation, Stir Crazy and most of the cop shows on TV in the 70's through today. His start through - was in music - as the lead singer of The Paradons.
