IBEW Local 614 has ratified the deal with a near-unanimous vote

It includes bigger pension plans, full retirement medical coverage, and wage increases. These were the major priorities for the workers when they went on a three-day strike earlier this month.

In a statement, the union's president calls this "an investment in the skill and expertise of the people who keep the lights on and the gas flowing." And he's advising PECO not to raise customers' bills, citing the company's large profit margins.

The contract is now in effect and lasts nearly 5 years.

Police in South Jersey are looking for the person who stabbed a woman to death at a home in Lindenwold on Thursday.

Detectives from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office responded to a stabbing along Bilper near Crowland avenues around 11:40 a.m.

They found a 53-year-old woman stabbed multiple times. She was rushed to the hospital, where she died just before 2:30 p.m.

Police have not announced any suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Camden County Prosecutor's Office or Lindenwold Police Department.
