Philadelphia police have made a third arrest in the shooting death of teenage boy two years ago in North Philly.

20-year-old Zaakir McClendon was taken into custody yesterday at a home along the 5700 block of Torresdale Avenue, near Cheltenham Avenue.

He faces murder and guns charges in the killing of Nafis Betrand-Hill, a 16-year-old gunned down at 23rd and Montgomery Avenue in April of 2023.

Maurice Hill, the man convicted of shooting six Philadelphia police officers during an hours-long standoff in 20-19 will spend the rest of his life in prison.

A New Jersey man is recovering at a hospital after he was struck by lightning while playing golf with his father.

It happened Tuesday afternoon on the 15th hole of the Ballyowen course in North Jersey.

Golfers rushed to perform CPR on 28-year-old Simon Mariani, who was then airlifted to the hospital.

The golf course says the warning horns were sounded as soon as the weather was deemed unsafe.

Intense storms dumped a lot of rain on us last night and triggered tornado warnings.
