An Oregon man has pleaded guilty to the murder of a veterinarian two years ago in Camden County.

Cristian Custodio-Aquino, 28, of Portland, Oregon, admitted to killing Dr. Michael Anthony. The 45-year-old was found stabbed to death on the front lawn of his Cherry Hill home in December 2024.

Prosecutors said Custodio-Aquino left a critical clue at the scene: a pair of glasses with his DNA on them. In addition, blood in his car was a match for the victim.

Investigators have said Custodio-Aquino had a prior romantic relationship with Anthony’s boyfriend.

Custodio-Aquino is expected to get 30 years in prison when he’s sentenced next month.

The body of the 14-year-old who drowned on a class trip to Wildwood last Monday has been recovered. Wildwood police say the body of Davoris Carter III was recovered off the beach of the Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May. The medical examiner confirmed Carter's identity, and officials have notified next of kin. Carter disappeared into the ocean last Monday while on a trip with the Delta School, a school for special needs children in Philadelphia. The school says there were six chaperones supervising the six children on the trip. Police say there was no lifeguard on duty that day, because there aren't any at that time of year. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding Carter's disappearance.

A vigil will be held Thursday night in South Philadelphia in memory of Billy Schmidt, the 22-year-old Penn State student who was shot to death during a robbery on Saturday.

Police have released surveillance video of the suspected killers: two kids, both wearing masks. One boy has braided hair and was wearing a distinctive gray hoodie -- on the front, it has a skull and crossbones and the word "confused" spelled with a backward "K."

The vigil is at the corner of 20th and Durfor, near Ritner. That's where Schmidt was gunned down as he tried to get back his stolen cellphone.

Temperatures will soar into the 90s on Thursday, so a heat health emergency will go into effect in Philadelphia at 11 a.m. KYW Newsradio's Tim Jimenez is live on Kelly Drive with the story.
