A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to up to 18 years in New Jersey state prison for stabbing a man to death in Atlantic City.

George Harrell, 36, had pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the June 2022 attack on Kentucky Avenue. The stabbing was caught on surveillance video, which investigators used to identify Harrell, who fled to Philadelphia.

He was tracked down by U.S. marshals and arrested nearly two months later.

While in prison awaiting trial, Harrell was part of a group that beat up a fellow inmate in June 2024 at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

He pleaded guilty to second-degree conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and was sentenced to another five years in prison.

The last day of the school year for students Thursday is going to be shorter at some Philly schools, because of the heat.

A drone might deliver your next Walmart order.

Our region is among seven new metro areas in line for the service from the retailer and Wing.

The drone delivery company says it can fly at speeds up to 60 miles an hour.

The machines use a tether to lower packages to a customer's yard or driveway as fast as half an hour after an order is placed.

Walmart and Wing say they'll share safety and reliability details with local leaders and community members before launching.
