It’s going to cost you if you block a trolley. The warning period has already begun. Starting April 1, $51 fines will be issued to drivers who illegally park in trolley lanes in Philadelphia.

SEPTA and the Philadelphia Parking Authority have installed artificial intelligence-powered cameras on trolley Routes 1 through 5 and the G (the old Route 15). It’s the same system that’s been used on buses over the last seven months.

The PPA has collected more than $4 million in fines. SEPTA says the AI system has improved travel times by up to 6%.

In Kensington, police are investigating after a man was shot and two others were stabbed Sunday afternoon. Officials say they were called to Jasper Street, near Allegheny Avenue, around 3:45 p.m. That's where they found the three men in their 20s, all injured.

A 26-year-old man was shot in the stomach. A 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were both stabbed. All three were taken to nearby hospitals and are listed in stable condition.

So far, no arrests have been made. Investigators are trying to figure out a motive.

The Philadelphia Office of the Victim Advocate has launched its Homicide Victim Funeral Assistance program. It's designed to help families of homicide victims pay for a proper burial of their loved ones. KYW Newsradio community impact reporter Racquel Williams has more.

Philadelphia city council has presented a proclamation to the Temple student who was arrested, along with journalist Don Lemon, while covering a protest in Saint Paul, Minnesota back in January. One of the church’s pastors is an ICE agent. KYW’s City Hall bureau chief Pat Loeb reports.
