Music and movie star Will Smith is facing accusations of predatory behavior and retaliation in a new lawsuit.
Former crew member Brian King Joseph is suing Smith and his touring company in Los Angeles, alleging wrongful termination, retaliation, and sexual harassment related to his work on the Philly native's 2025 tour.
According to the complaint, Smith hired King, a violinist, at the end of 2024, and the two spent time together, with Smith telling King they had "a special connection."
The filing says during a Las Vegas tour stop, someone unlawfully entered Joseph’s hotel room and left a note along with personal items, suggesting — in his view — that someone would try to coerce him into sexual activity.
Joseph was accused of fabricating the situation, according to the suit, and was fired after reporting it to hotel staff.
The lawsuit seeks reimbursement for damages and a jury trial.
Smith’s lawyer has denied the allegations and called them “reckless.”
KYW Newsradio has reached out to Smith’s representatives for comment, but have not heard back.
