One of the suspects who pleaded guilty to shooting at a group of students waiting for a bus last year in Northeast Philadelphia has been sentenced to up to a decade in prison.
Jamaal Tucker, 19, will spend 4 to 10 years behind bars on attempted murder, conspiracy, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment charges.
Tucker, last year, admitted his involvement in the shooting at a SEPTA bus stop at Cottman and Rising Sun Avenues on March 6, 2024.
The attack left eight teens, all students at Northeast High School, wounded.
Another defendant, Jermahd Carter, was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in October on similar, but far more severe charges.
Two others, Asir Boone and Anhile Buggs, are set to be sentenced in February.
The last defendant, Jeremiah Jefferson, has had his case sealed.
