Human connection is critical for child development, and now, CHOP is getting a major gift to promote healthy relationships.
Hedge fund manager David Einhorn is giving $50 million to create an Institute for Early Relational Health, with his name on it.
CHOP says it will "translate research into tangible tools ... that improve outcomes" for kids.
Einhorn is a billionaire who runs Greenlight Capital, as well as a charitable foundation with a goal of "helping people get along."
He says CHOP is the "ideal place" to advance the science of human connection and "create lasting benefits for children and families."
