Pierre-Yves Le Gal is the founder of Le Lieu Dit, an hotel in Nantes but not only… Le Lieu Dit is indeed a place to sleep but also and foremost a place to live! With a pizzeria, a grocery shop with local cheeses and meats, a bar and an inside courtyard, this unique place welcomes more than travelers coming to get some rest.
With the intention of creating a hotel that revives social links, Pierre-Yves Le Gal sought to go beyond the borders of the traditional hospitality industry. Yet with a background in the very renowned hotel school Vatel, his education did not intend to put him on that path. Some might see it as a radical and bold shift, others will notice the return to the very meaning of hospitality. No matter how you interpret it, this Gaia entrepreneur is not afraid to act to make a difference in today’s society.

Trained as a photographer, Marc Mellet often travelled to Mongolia to report on his travels. His travels made him aware of the realities of local stockbreeders, so he created Mes Chaussettes Mongoles to help them. The company is part of a fair-trade approach, offering an outlet for little-known wools whose quality, comfort, softness and warmth delight the initiated. For example, the cashmere, yak down, camel down and sheep’s wool used in its socks directly contribute to preserving the ancestral way of life of breeders from a culture that is highly respectful of animals.
On the other hand, the socks are manufactured in factories in Ulan Bator using the latest textile technologies from South Korea. And it’s this mix of tradition and modernity, so similar to modern Mongolia, that the company wants to share with its customers through its production.

FARWIND ENERGY is a Start-up born from École Centrale de Nantes’ researched. The school is a world leader in marine renewable energy research. It hosted France’s first floating wind turbine in 2016 at its SEM-REV sea trials site.
Aurélien Babarit, head of the Marine Energies and Ocean research team at École Centrale de Nantes from 2012 to 2020, began to take an interest in the concept of the sailboathydrolienne, which would become the energy vessel, back in 2016.
Convinced by the potential of this technology based on the research work of Aurélien Babarit and Jean-Christophe Gilloteaux, an expert in offshore wind energy, FARWIND ENERGY started in July 2020 with Félix Gorintin and Arnaud Poitou.
« Today, non-interconnected areas rely on oil-, coal- or gas-fired generators for power generation. The e-FARWIND solution is a lowcarbon, flexible and reliable alternative. Electricity is supplied by a virtual power plant made up of a fleet of batteries. When empty, the batteries are charged on board FARWIND’s energy ships, to be recharged by offshore wind power.
The number of batteries and vessels can be easily adjusted to meet the needs of communities of various sizes (from 100 inhabitants to over 100,000). Each energy ship saves up to 5,000 tonnes of CO2 per year compared with an oil-fired power plant. »

In 2018, she co-founded Yuman with Quen6n de Crombrugghe, a project whose mission is to provide consumers exclusively with goods and services from the circular economy. Christel shares with us the story of this impact-driven project, her desire to become a change agent, and an ambassador for a more ethical consump6on mode.

« The story of Yuman begins in 2017. We observed the prolifera6on of short-circuit organic stores and the joy of consumers who embraced these new concepts. We discovered that Sweden was already one step ahead… with a sustainable shopping center. And why not in Belgium? More and more entrepreneurs are developing new products and services in sustainability and the circular economy to limit the use of the planet’s resources. An increasing number of consumers want to consume differently and understand what they are consuming. So, we launched a concept that brings entrepreneurs and consumers together!
Before Yuman, it was impossible to shop circular or sustainable in Brussels. The offer of products and services was highly fragmented, requiring mul6ple trips. Yuman addresses this issue by offering a variety of solu6ons dedicated to circular economy concepts in one place. After 2 years of business preparation, ECG, at Intégrale (Paris), Lancelot entered Audencia Business School in 2018 in the Grande Ecole Program. Passionate about project launches and an entrepreneur at heart, the latter has always harbored the hope of one day creating his own business. As part of Audencia’s entrepreneurial specialization, and in collaboration with a friend and fellow student Jacques Alibert, Lancelot conceived the idea of Friguant in 2021. Winners of the Audace competition the same year, the two friends arrived on the market of Tech with a revolutionary new solution for the Textile sector, with a strong social and environmental impact.
Fringuant is today a start-up headed by 4 employees who share the presidency of the company. Successfully raising funds of more than 150,000 euros in 2022, the company continues to expand. Today it has 10 members.
Fringuant is a personalized recommendation solution for sizes and cuts for clothes purchased online. When purchasing clothing on a product page, the customer will be able to scan themselves directly, using their smartphone camera, to obtain a personalized solution based on their body shape and the exact dimensions and material of each item of clothing. . This data is collected upstream by Fringuant, which is obliged to work with the brands one by one, in order to implement a precise solution. Thus the software created by Fringuant and adapted to the collection of each brand will allow the user to try on the garment remotely.
The ecological and social dimension is therefore very important in the creation of this project. Fringuant’s prism is to put Tech, AI and its knowledge of algorithms to the benefit of a textile industry that is very little advanced on these subjects. The fashion sector is the 2nd most polluting industry in the world. So at the heart of the creation of Fringuant is the desire to fight against the disastrous environmental impact represented by the return of clothing. Counting in tens of thousands of tons, 1/3 of the clothes are now returned, which would correspond to a Paris-New-York round trip for 1 year.
In addition, among returned products, -50% of returns are put back on sale. Often too expensive to recondition, it is easier today and less expensive for a manufacturer to send these clothes abroad to destroy them.
Friguant’s objective is therefore to push brands to standardize their clothing sizes and cuts while at the same time reducing returns of textile orders from individuals thanks to its remote fitting software.
Emerging on the market, the company has a promising future. Tech and data storage have become the new black gold of the 21st century. Fringuant has already started partnerships with several brands such as 17h10 (tailor brand) and Vanessa Bruno. The results are satisfactory although some things still need to be improved. But as its co-founder, Lancelot Convert, reiterated, the company is built for the long term. And even if for the moment the company is not positioned as profitable, it remains hopeful and has set itself the primary objective of having a strong social and environmental impact in the long term.

Antoine de Mereuil a 29 ans il évolue dans le milieu de la start up depuis plus d’une dizaine d’années.
Il a commencé dans ce milieu dès le lycée en cofondant Dealer de Coque avec Louis Haincourt. Par la suite durant mes études, il a cofondé G.Ride qui était spécialisé dans la vente de sac à dos de voyage.
Après un master en école de commerce à l’ESCE et grâce à ses premières expériences dans le monde de l’entrepreneuriat, il a rejoint Frichti (livraison de plats frais et/ou cuisinés) en tant que Business Development manager puis, après 1an il est devenu Sales director. Après 2 ans chez Frichti, il décide de rejoindre Alan (dématérialisation du système de santé) en tant que Sales Lead dans l’équipe Insurance. Après un peu plus de dix-huit mois, ils créent créons au sein d’Alan, Alan Mind un système qui met en relation des entreprises ainsi que des psychologues pour que les employés aient accès au sein de leurs entreprises à des consultations payées par leurs entreprises. Au sein de l’équipe d’Alan Mind, il occupe le poste de Sales lead.
Il quitte Alan en Mars 2023 et lance officiellement Founder après une levée pré seed de 3.5 millions d’euros. Primo sert à aider les PME à gérer leurs applications, leurs équipements, leur personnel et leur sécurité dans une seule et unique plateforme IT-as-a-service qui évolue avec elles.
