It's Communion Sunday at La Jolla Community Church. Every first Sunday of the month LJCC participates in Holy Communion. Here is a recording of the second service on Sunday, April 7, 2019. Dominic Nuncio (LJCC's Executive Pastor of Ministries) leads the LJCC Worship band (vocals + guitar) with Haley Courtney (vocals + guitar), Kelly Colvard (vocals), Craig Disselkoen (drums), and Monica Disselkoen (piano). The worship band opens up with "Revelation Song" and "Cornerstone." Ian O'Meara (LJCC's Director of Community Life) comes up to give the morning announcements, including Holy Week services such as Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. There is an Easter Egg stuffing party taking place after the services in preparation for the Easter Block Party. LJCC also has an upcoming class for parents and their kids (ages 6-10 + teens) for instilling smart money habits in kids and youth. During the time of offering the worship band plays, "Who You Say I Am." Pastor Steve Murray then comes up to give the message of the morning on "1 Peter 5: Look out for one another." Following the sermon we celebrate Holy Communion together and the worship band sings "Living Hope." At the end of the service we thank Dominic Nuncio for his service as the Executive Pastor of Ministries at La Jolla Community Church. Pastor Steve Murray prays over Dominic Nuncio and gives the Benediction.
