Pastor Steve Murray continues the sermon series, "Practice" with a sermon on "Practice Gratitude." Michael Watson led worship in both services. Today LJCC held family services at 9:00 am 10:45 am. Kids and youth in 1st grade and up worshipped in the sanctuary with their families. LJCC held the Alternative Gift Market after both services outside on the patio. Shoppers were given the opportunity to purchase tangible products and gifts in-name from worthy causes. Songs of Worship included: 10,000 Reasons (Bless The Lord), Your Love Awakens Me, Good Good Father, and Forever Reign.

Gerard and wife Jeannie are the founders of Awakening to God Ministries (ATG) that was birthed in 2015 out of the deepest suffering. After many years on the ‘mountain top,’ their hearts were shattered after the suicide of their precious son Alex (17) in 2005. Darkness engulfed Jeannie’s broken mother heart, her love for Gerard turned to hatred, and she lost her faith for a season. She was rescued and restored but then, unbelievably, their beautiful daughter Rebecca (32) drowned in a tragic accident. Knowing she couldn’t continue, Jeannie decided to take her own life, only to be rescued and transformed by a divine encounter!

Gerard and Jeannie are now sharing God’s love, faith and hope to bring good news to the poor, comfort to the brokenhearted, freedom to the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. They have written several books and produced the Triumph of Marriage e-learning course.

Gerard has experience as a 30 year Int’l Banker, Pastor, Author and CEO of Alpha USA 2008-2014. They currently live in Malibu, CA. and their son Ben lives in London, UK.

Serving in his second year as a campus minister with graduate students and faculty at UCSD through InterVarsity, Greg has diverse ministry experience which includes youth, college, families, men, and missions. He is passionate about helping people take next-steps in their relationship with Christ and enjoys biking, tennis, drumming and relating to all kinds of people.
