The Ladies in Pyjamas welcomed their first male guest on the show back in 2024… and what a guest he was.

Lee Giles isn’t just a guest, he’s part of the fabric of this podcast. A friend, a contributor, and even a co-host at times. But in this episode, we finally get to hear his story.

And you’re going to love him.

Totally amazing (yet very ordinary), Lee even turned up ready to chat about his spiritual journey in his dressing gown and slippers , which honestly feels very on brand for us.

Lee is a natural storyteller, sharing his life with a kind of frankness and humility that draws you straight in. What began as almost a teenage dare — six months attending a youth group just to “see what happens” unfolds into something far more profound.

From agnosticism to encounters that feel, at times, hard to explain… this is a journey shaped by curiosity, challenge, and moments that some might call miraculous (yes, even one in a McDonald’s).

Along the way, we explore authenticity, religious culture, class, politics, and what spirituality is coming to mean to him now.

Tre and Holly were, at points, genuinely lost for words.

We explore what it looks like to live with faith beyond rigid structures, and how Lisa now understands “church” in a much broader and more personal way. From family life to time spent in nature, her connection to God has shifted into something that feels more present and less confined.

Lisa also speaks about the work she does today supporting people who may have felt excluded or overlooked within traditional Christian spaces, and how her own journey has shaped the way she shows up for others.

While we take a short recording break for the next couple of weeks, we’re revisiting one of our earlier conversations that still feels incredibly meaningful.

In this episode we speak with Lisa, whose spiritual journey began firmly rooted in Christianity but gradually unfolded into something wider and more questioning.
