Does masculinity make for better presidents? Better leaders? Better policymakers? It’s a question that the right has asked and answered. They can’t stop talking about masculinity, believing it is the only key to leadership and they have it on lock. Vivek Ramaswammy wants to get phones out of the classroom. Not only did he mention it in his speech when he announced he was running for governor. He cant’ stop tweeting about it either. Since February he’s twitter about it at least six times.

It’s quickly becoming a major piece of his platform.

Letting the rich and powerful pit us against each is playing into their hand. Instead of pointing the finger at the top 1% and those in charge of wealth inequality, let's blame the middle class working man. Let me introduce you to Zaccheaues. He was a tax collector that was hated by everyone so much- even by Jesus’s followers- that he had to climb up a tree just to catch a glimpse of Christ. He wasn’t accepted in society, even among a group of jesus’ followers, those seeking his favor and grace, even though they had no compassion for Zacheus. But Jesus did.
