LaDonna Raeh Show

Grammy winning Howard Hewett stops by to share his new single “To Thee I Pray” (LaKiva Music). “I actually wrote this song over 30 years ago…unfortunately the lyrics still ring true today. It was meant for my last album with Elektra (Records). I brought it to these cats, Wav3Pop, and said flip it.”

We have gotten to know Howard Hewett as an inspirational artist, but what happens when he stumps his toe will stun you with laughter.   He's come a long way from the days of his signature song, the Inspiration single “Say Amen.” Stemming from being a member of the R&B/Pop group Shalamar, he has stood on his own with many hits including "For the Lover in You", "Once Twice Three Times", and "For the Lover in You".

BMF, which debuted September 26th, is based off of the real-life story of Demetrius “Big Meech” and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, two brothers from southwest Detroit who built a cocaine-trafficking empire and ventured into the music industry before being sentenced to 30 years in prison.
