A unique, instantly identifiable vocal sound encompassing both Jazz and R&B. Grammy-nominated ,Soul Train Award Winning Soul/Jazz singer Maysa, celebrates her 29th year as recording artist and 25th year as a solo artist in 2020.

Her first solo CD entitled MAYSA was released August 29,1995 on BlueThumb'GRP Records.

Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Maysa Leak knew early on that she would be a musician. "I was six years old when my mom took me to see Purlie," she recalls. "When Melba Moore came on stage and sang her heart out, I knew at that moment I wanted to make people feel the way she made me feel."

Maysa's journey took her from singing upon graduation with Stevie Wonder for a year to becoming the lead singer for Incognito in the 90s. In 1995 she recorded her first solo album.,MAYSA which debuted to rave reviews from critics and listeners alike.

Maysa kicks off the summer of 2019 creating her untitled 14th studio album for her brand new record label, BLUE VELVET SOUL RECORDS.

"I am so proud to release this album myself and for the first time in my life I will own my masters, so I will do everything in my power to make this album my masterpiece. It will be soulful, spiritual, danceable and sensual ," Maysa states.

Being one of 6 children, growing up In Grand Rapids, Michigan, Wilfred became interested and intrigued by music...especially the guitar. A few years passed while learning how to play when a local producer took interest in Wilfred and started teaching him all the ways of the recording studio. Tommy McGee of The TMG's showed Wilfred the formulas and foundation for making records and proper multi-track recording, and Lee Cadena for adding musical direction, inspiration, and exploration. Joining Wilfred's first band Was like a first crush...exciting. While being phased out of the group, it gave Wilfred motivation to really learn his craft...something he ultimately did, joining the group While touring and pursuing record deals, opportunities began to emerge. Becoming an accomplished writer and artist was the gateway to success! Recording with Mellow Decisions in Muskegon Michigan, Wilfred found himself opening concerts for the likes of The Mighty Whispers and The Dazz Band! Gullahsoul Muzik is an innovative music production team fully equipped with professional studio musicians and vocalists. Lee Alston(Musicians Kitchen Soundlab) and "soulisticmusicrevival", the music band he founded in 2005, is an extension of Gullahsoul Muzik. Lee Alston and his team have produced, arranged, and written originally published soundtracks for Edward Kinard, an up and coming movie producer and CEO of Lion's Den World Entertainment located in Australia. Lee Alston has also worked with individuals who were contestants on American Idol and Sunday Best as well as producing projects for independent artists and musicians for over 30 years. Lee Alston understands clearly the science of music and how utilizing music theory along with logarithms, exponents, and intervals are paramount in creating "musical motifs". Lee Alston worked as an audio engineer and master control operator for a TBN affiliate. Lee Alston became a member of The Society of Broadcast Engineers. Lee Alston has been a member of BMI as a songwriter/composer for over 20 years and has 163 published works to date. Lee Alston has performed on a local TBN Praise the Lord Program as a guest vocalist and speaker. Chenitha Reddick is a Trombone Player with 30 years of experience from Albany, GA. Her influences are Delfeayo Marsalis, Trombone Shorty, Jeff Bradshaw, and Fred Wesley. She was awarded a Band Scholarship to attend Morris Brown College in 1999. Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Morris Brown College with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education in 2003 while being a part of the Morris Brown College Marching Wolverine Band. Chenitha participated as a musician on board the Norwegian Star Cruise Ship and movies, such as 'Drumline the Movie’.



Currently she is participating in various Atlanta Bands and loves to support her fellow musician friends, artists, and DJ’s.

Michael Burton completed both bachelor's and master's degrees in Jazz Studies under the renowned musician and professor, David Baker at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.

Trained in music from an early age, his mother is an original member of the legendary Mississippi Mass Choir, and his father a tenor saxophonist himself. Burton’s distinctive soulful saxophone performances, riveting grooves, and vocal productions are the result of this influence and his native Jackson, Mississippi culture.

Currently touring Patti LaBelle, Michael has also toured with Jill Scott, Mary J. Blige, and Anita Baker as well as with New Edition, and PJ Morton. He’s also performed with Aretha Franklin, Fantasia, Young Jeezy, Tank, Russell Gunn, and Eric Roberson.



Burton has recorded with a long list of jazz, soul, pop, rhythm and blues, gospel, and hip/hop artists. His soulful saxophone can also be heard on 2 Grammy Nominated projects, ”Love Has Finally Come At Last," by Calvin Richardson as well as PJ Morton’s Gumbo album. Mike was also a featured soloist on Hidden Beach Recordings Unwrapped Volume 5.





Michael has also served as an Artist in Residence in the US Virgin Islands, providing music education and mentorship to middle school, high school, and college students throughout St. Thomas, St. Croix, and St. John. Mike serves on the Grammy Board of Governors for the Atlanta Recording Academy chapter. He’s also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Smooth Jazz and Chill Out composer, musician and producer, Mike Murray is no stranger to music. Mike first developed his love for the piano as a young man during his summers at camp on an old upright piano. This was merely an introduction, but true focus came years later. While attending high school, Mike landed a spot with a local high school funk band, but not as a pianist; as a drummer. Yet, again before musical seeds could take root, the time had come for him to turn the page to explore the next chapters in life. Over the years, Mike was heavily influenced by music greats such as: George Duke, Stanley Clarke, FourPlay, Santana, Hiroshima, Paul Hardcastle, Alex Bugnon, Earth Wind & Fire, Mandrill, and other groundbreaking talents. Mike decided to return to his musical roots in 2005 following the footsteps of his father as a pianist. Shortly thereafter, a friend heard something special enough in a recording to offer strong encouragement. Mike's music continues to showcase his diversity and a sound that is completely his own.

Glen Taylor aka 'TY' residing from Oakland California by way of Henderson Kentucky. TY has been in the music industry for years. New music projects in 2020 include 'CUTTHROATS HAIL MARY' and 'THIS ALCOHOL' and also 'LET'EM BANG' a song that describes the harsh reality of living in East Oakland. Other songs releasing are 'CHASING DREAMS' and also a song called 'HENDERSON' that one details the love for the hometown where TY was born and raised. Glen Taylor calls his music 'LIFE MUSIC' and also raps with his son CTR Kay who is on many of CUTTHROATS projects. Future goals of this artist are to coincide with young artists from the tri-state and to help them with all their music adventures from recording to promotions and even business and management. Mr. taylor states that one day soon he would like to just sit back and watch other artists do their thing!
