With the invention of the personal computer and the Internet, working from home has almost become normal. I think the most attractive thing about being self-employed is the tremendous amount of flexibility it offers you. If you can work whenever you want to work, you can adjust your work schedule to fit your life. That's way different than waking up sick in the morning, knowing that you are truly sick, yet having to go into work anyway because there's no one else to cover your shift, it means not having to miss your son or daughter's soccer game football game basketball game play, school recital, it means being available and being able to be a parent husband, or wife, sister or brother. It means being free!

In a recent report titled work, entrepreneurship and opportunity in the 21st century America. The US Chamber of Commerce said millions of Americans are embracing entrepreneurship by running their own small businesses through independent contracting or direct selling, the report also cited a Gallup poll finding that 61% of Americans now say they prefer to be their own bosses.
Today I believe it easiest to start a new business on the Internet rather than a brick-and-mortar, with the Internet it doesn't matter how big or how small your store is, For on Amazon, we all get the same amount of shelf space no matter the size of your company. If you choose to start an Internet-based business you get the confidence of working from your home, setting your own hours, and you're not fixed in any location you can travel anywhere in the world you choose or live anywhere you choose as long as you have an Internet connection you have access to your business.

I would like this to be the start of a series of articles on how to start up and run a business. Today I would like to discuss the nine steps to business start up were not going to go into too much detail in each one of them, but I would like to float them out there, and show notes will be available, in our upcoming podcasts we will discuss each of these topics and break them down into their subtopics as we go along. Now The Nine steps to start up.
1-What industry are you interested in working in, again we ask what is your passion what type of business do you desire? A better question one that's not frequently asked. At what point of the industry will you be intering, within each industry no matter what that industry is there are many places you can jump into the game. An example a beautician, do you want to be the individual creating new hairstyles…if that’s your thing.. that's one point, or you could be the wholesaler to the hair dresser this entry point will earn much higher profits ,for its customer base is not limited the hair stylist is ,you can only handle 8 to 15 customers per day or would you like to be the individual who dreams of a new pair scissors say you design them email a drawing to  China in about 3 weeks you have scissors, wich you can now sell to all the above,  that's another point of entry -  in the up-and-coming podcasts this will be the first that we discuss
2) research the kinds of businesses and various models within that industry. Again once you've decided or selected the type of business that's for you - you need to research the different types of models within that industry again this can go along with your entry point
.3) perform market research to see where there is an unmet need geographically, pricewise and complementary services.
Perform market research without performing research you have no idea what your competition is doing what this product or services is selling for. Without proper market research you've no idea what your customers are looking for geographically, and what area of the country or the state or your community are your customers gathering, pricewise market research will tell you what price the market will bear not necessarily what you can charge.
4) analyze the competition.
