EPISODE 16: 7 Days of Underhill - DAY 2

In day 2 of 7 (days of Underhill), the FletchCast boys delve deeply into the "incident" at the California Raquet Club between Ted Underhill (William Traylor) and the Chinese Busboy (Merv Maruyama) when Mr. Underhill's meal was prematurely ripped from him grasp. However, we take a look at the quick-to-judge perspective and re-evaluate the situation from Ted's POV and determine who truly is the antagonist and who is the protagonist. We attempt to get Merv Maruyama's side of the story but instead he speaks to us through song.

Episode 14: Burton Gilliam

Time to sit back, relax, check that Bypass Line, and enjoy our interview with Fletch Legend Burton Gilliam. Burton rose to stardom in the Mel Brooks classic "Blazing Saddles." We talk about how he got his start and how his humble beginnings and hard negotiating skills led to him landing the role of a lifetime: Boyd Aviation Airplane Mechanic "Bud" in the comedy classic “Fletch.”  We talk about his iconic dialog with Chevy and how exactly that whole scene came about. Beau Starr is not gonna like this one! In the wide ranging interview, Tim Matheson talks about his work as Fletch’s arch nemesis, Alan Stanwyk.  From being cast to the production and it’s lasting impact, Matheson reveals insight that hasn’t been revealed previously.  As a acting veteran, Matheson also talks about his work on the classic Animal House and his time spent with Jim Belushi, and later on with Chris Farley on Black Sheep.  From Johnny Quest to Bonaza and his current Netflix hit Virgin River, Mr. Matheson talks in detail about a career that has spanned decades.  But to us, he will always be known as the guy who’s never heard of Ted Nugent.

Episode 11: A Fletchmas Miracle!

This week, boys celebrate Christmas, er, Fletchmas and get a special visit from Santa himself. Laker Jim reveals that Santa has stopped by to deliver a BIG SURPRISE...the long lost audio of Jake's WAAY TV interview with Gregory McDonald from back in 2001. We hear "The Maker's" voice for the first time and discover a few unknown gems about the creation of the character.  We hear and talk about the "Fletch reference" in season 1 of Ted Lasso and the significance of  Jason Sudeikis dropping the "Underhill" line.  Laker Jim, Jake, and Big Bob exchange gifts and have lots of other holiday surprises for fans as well.
