In May of this year, the Lancaster Asian American Pacific Islanders (LAAPI) celebrated a proclamation from the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners, that officially designated the month of May as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in the red rose. Last week, their President Cindy Lam Guo was one of the honorees for the YWCA women of achievement ceremony (last week), where local women from Lancaster were celebrated for their extraordinary deeds.
