Lanterns Live

The Lanterns teaser 2 was released this week and Green Lantern fans are divided by the suit that Hal Jordan wears in the show. I discuss the pros and cons with fans who either like the suit or think that it’s not green enough, not comic accurate or too bulky. What are your thoughts on the suit shown in the Teaser 2?

Chris Mundy sat down with Entertainment Weekly and dropped a lot of information about the upcoming DCU show, LANTERNS, on HBO/Max starring Kyle Chandler (Hal Jordan) and Aaron Pierre (John Stewart). In the article he sets the record straight on the lack of GREEN in the marketing and explains the interesting timeline that the Green Lantern series will follow.

RAGE CONSUMES!

“As John Stewart recovers, Katma Tui and Soranik Natu survey the Korugar that’s survived a fractured spectrum and the rebirth of Parallax. Jessica Cruz tries to decide how to intervene in a conflict between two members of the former United Planets, a conflict Guy Gardner and his team were using to conceal their search for Butcher — the emotional entity of rage.”

Will Kyle Chandler reprise his role as Green Lantern Hal Jordan in James Gunn’s Superman sequel, “Man of Tomorrow”?! How the heck should I know? But according to some sites, he’s credited as being a part of the cast, so let’s start speculating here on YouTube!

Three years ago, before Lanterns Live existed, James Gunn announced the “Gods & Monsters” phase of the brand new DCU! I did a live reaction episode on my Patreon at patreon.com/casinoskunk. Since a lot of folks have been talking about the “grounded” nature of the show, I thought I would share my initial reactions here. As it turns out, a True Detective type show has been the plan all along!

Chris Mundy has come out to discuss the fact that Lanterns is a series that starts out grounded and it has been part of the plan since day one. Do you think that the cosmic Green Lantern comic book series should go in this direction? Is HBO just being cheap or do you find this a refreshing take on superhero shows?

Today, DC Studios’ James Gunn announced on socials that Lanterns will be premiering on August 16th, 2026 on HBO/Max and did so showing a new image of John Stewart using the Power Battery in the Green Lantern series! We also have news from My Adventures with Superman as well as an update on My Adventures of Green Lantern starring Jessica Cruz!

Ralph is joined once again by Will Smith from Green Lanterns podcast. On this episode, they will be discussing Green Lantern #34!

COME TO CALIFORNIA, THEY SAID… TRACK DOWN INTERGALACTIC PRISON ESCAPEES, THEY SAID…

“Kyle Rayner is back in L.A., and he’s not alone — the precog thief known only as Odyssey the Time Bandit is along for the ride! But is Odyssey really bad to the bone… or does she hold a devastating secret that only Kyle Rayner can help her with? Kyle traverses a job, a mentorship, murderous aliens by the dozen, and… a wrestling federation? No…no no no… please don’t tell us Jeremy is bringing Omega Bam Man back… Guest-starring the Flash, if you’re into that sort of thing!”

For some reason the HBO series LANTERNS is being kept way more tight-lipped than anything we have seen from the DCU so far. Very to little information has leaked online, and what has been leaked has disappeared from the internet. Let’s talk about everything we know about LANTERNS that has been removed by Warner Bros legal!
