  • Gotham Knock Knock Podcast S02E02 – Gotham TV Podcast Episode 53
Evening sunshine, grab yourself a gin and Tonic, ice and a slice, and join us as we continue our coverage with our Gotham S02E02 Knock Knock podcast and we're still in shock at that ending. In this episode we talk all about Alfred's cockney threat to Lucious Fox, the introduction of the Maniax and their attack on the G.C.P.D. and of course the loss of one of our favourite characters in our Gotham Knock Knock Podcast.

Synopsis for our Gotham S02E02 Knock Knock Podcast

Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) investigates the inmate escape from Arkham Asylum as Theo Galavan (James Frain) plots his revengeful move against Gotham as he not only kidnaps Mayor Aubrey James (Richard Kind) but places the ever more unhinged Jerome (Cameron Monaghan) in charge of the other Arkham escapees, who now go by the name "the Maniax". Meanwhile at Wayne Manor Bruce's quest to unlock the secrets of his father's office leads to fractures between Bruce (David Mazouz) and his faithful butler Alfred (Sean Pertwee) as he smashes Thomas Wayne's computer in an attempt to protect Bruce from the untold story. These personal developments leaves Bruce to request assistance from an old family friend - Lucius Fox (Chris Chalk) - in an attempt to fix the computer and recover the missing information. However, at the same time the Maniax begin a murder spree across the city of Gotham as part of an elaborate scheme of Galavan's that leads them ultimately to the G.C.P.D. where the Precinct is attacked in a sadistic bloody massacre. Whilst there are some who escape wounded in the attack, many other good officers, detectives and the Commissioner are killed. RIP Commissioner Sarah Essen(Zabryna Guevara) you will be sorely missed.

While here in the city that never sleeps we got to catch up on Gotham Season 2 on demand. We talk all about the secret in Wayne Manor, Jim's new job, a new more crazy Barbara Kean, the end of "Commissioner" Loeb and Oswald as the King of New York. Sorry about the squeaky chair in this episode we'll try and oil it before the next podcast.

Synopsis for Gotham S02E01 Damned If You Do Podcast.

After the gang warfare that embroiled the city Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) finds himself as the King of Gotham, whilst Detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) finds himself down-and-out in Gotham after being fired by Commissioner Gillian Loeb (Peter Scolari). Still determined to undermine Loeb, Gordon's moral compass waivers yet again as he makes another deal with Cobblepot who forces Loeb to re-instate Gordon as Detective, resign as Commissioner and ultimately be replaced by Sarah Essen (Zabryna Guevara) who now finds herself in charge of the G.C.P.D. Changes are also afoot in the underbelly of Gotham as a new criminal mastermind Theo Galavan (James Frain) and his sister and enforcer, Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas) release the inmates of Arkham Asylum including Barbara Kean (Erin Richards) and Jerome Valeska (Cameron Monaghan) to wreak havoc across Gotham. Meanwhile at Wayne Manor, Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) embark down the secret staircase to discover a secret room. Here Bruce learns much more about his father, Thomas Wayne, who in a note left to Bruce advises him to leave well alone the mystery behind Gotham and to choose happiness over the truth...unless, of course, he feels his true calling!

It's time to celebrate as Gotham returns in the United States and we at Gotham TV Podcast celebrate our 50th episode. To celebrate in style we reached out to one of our favourite actors from the TV show and bring you our Gotham interview with Drew Powell. He played the character of Butch Gilzean in 15 of the 22 episodes of Gotham Season 1 and has now been confirmed as a series regular for Season 2.
We are delighted to have one of our favourite actors to discuss his thoughts in season one, portraying a character specifically created for the TV show, how he prepared for THAT dance, working with Jada Pinkett-Smith and playing the part of the easy to like tough guy for the show.
We obviously want to thank Mr. Powell for his time but we really want to thank you, the listeners, for joining us during the course of our coverage leading up to the launch of Gotham, our reviews of Season one and hopefully you'll stay with us as we return with our coverage of Gotham: Rise of the Villains when Season 2 returns in the UK and Ireland in just a few weeks time.
We also have a brand new intro for our show provided to us by Mississippi MacDonald you can find more of his music at his website MississippiMacdonald.com we're delighted with our new intro tune and hope you enjoy it too. Make sure you send in your thoughts to [email protected]
