In the first 10 days of 2023, three people have been killed at the hands of the Los Angeles Police Department. The LA chapter of Black Lives Matter Grassroots is organizing in solidarity with the families directly impacted. We speak to Baba Greg Akili, who is a core team member of Black Lives Matter Los Angeles, and the Director of the Fannie Lou Hamer Institute. He is also an Instructor at the UCLA Labor Studies Department.
