Wonderful story and exceptional audio experience!!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Wrong Todd to be better than the print version?

I am a very avid reader; however, I would say this audio edition is equally comparable. I definitely do not feel that way about many audio books. When adding in the benefits of being able to listen while traveling or doing other activities, this audio book would come out on top.

What did you like best about this story?

The heroine is a middle-aged, strong and intelligent woman, who through unusual circumstances, is pursued by a handsome younger man that happens to be a TV personality. Sabine doesn't know why Todd would be interested in an older woman who is a few pounds over-weight (in her opinion). Todd sees an intelligent, mature woman with nice curves that he is attracted to. This is a lovely romantic story with many challenges and emotions to be overcome by both characters.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Sabine was to be a guest on Todd's TV Chef cooking show and she came out in an appealing RED dress accented by RED shoes. Todd's mesmerized reaction. Can you say "awestruck" or "jaw-dropping"!!!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, the narrator was better than what I expected. She had a pleasant voice and excelled at changing pitch, tone and tempo so that the story flowed uninterrupted and was easy to follow. I did listen to the complete book in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

This is an enjoyable light, romantic story that I would recommend to anyone. The narrator in this audio edition is excellent and for those who are new to audio books it would be a great first time experience.

This book brings out the beauty of the Hawaiian Language in this super sexy romance. It has just the right amounts of humor and hotness.

Allyson Johnson reading the story with her beautiful grasp on the Hawaiian language brings out the story in a way that I could never have interpreted it on my own. It made the story that much more enjoyable.

Storyline could've been decent had the heroine not been so dislikable. Her insecurities were over-the-top and I felt did a disservice and did not portray plus size women in a positive light. Very disappointing Second book in series.

Esteem building but untrustworthy

Nice storyline...well written...loved narrator's delivery...of course predictable (it's an HEA) & that's why I selected this book. My one concerneven though this is fictionthe heroine is not trustworthy. Yet, she expects the hero to be. She is not relationship worthy; and, the reason is not because of the implied obvious.

loved it, I liked the banter back and forth. I love how the author showed the vulnerability of the main character. She came across with on honesty that was genuine for those of us that are not a size 6. Go after what you want thru open communication. GREAT quick story wish it was longer.

Special delivery

I liked parts of this book but other parts seemed off to me. The sex happened way too abruptly to make it seem plausible. The dialog surrounding her getting the B&B was strange too. It also could have been better edited as there were several typos and words misspelled.

Cute book

This is a very short book - only about 30 pages. Cute story - glad it was free, because I would have been disappointed if I had paid real money for it. Just a nice, short escape.

Perfect for Valentine's Day

This is a warm, charming story and perfect for Valentine's Day. Vickie is a hard working divorcee who's been out of the dating scene for a long time. At the insistence of her best friend, she flirts with a handsome FedEx driver making a delivery. Jake, the FedEx driver, is an easy going likeable fellow and absolutely the right man to quell Vickie's nerves about dating again. To make things even better it turns out they're both also animal lovers. Jake just happens to have a pregnant Labrador and Vickie just happens to have a warm kitchen and the time to watch over the soon to be canine momma. They're an all around a great match.

If you're in the mood for a fast, upbeat read, this story fills the bill.

Ever so often, I accidentally, or not, choose a book intended for the teen LGBT market. This is one. A lovely innocent love story at it's very best. If you're looking for a hot M2M romance, keep on looking. If you want to believe in love, spend the credit.

A must read

A great story read perfectly you won't go wrong with this book a love story for the ages

Okay story, poor choice of narrator

The storyline was enjoyable, if a bit predictable. But Paul Morey as the narrator was not the right choice. He is not a bad narrator in general, but this is a coming of age story and he sounded way too old to be voicing these characters.

Great YA story

Kyle is 17 on the cusp of 18 and on the verge of finally, finally, leaving his abusive step-fathers house for art school when he gets suckered into doing something stupid. He throws a brick at a window and ends up almost in juvenile detention. Instead of a jail, he signs up for a work-release program in upstate NY at a farm.

Sam is the son of the famers for whom Kyle works. Hes an openly gay college sophomore and he returns each summer to help on the farm.

Both boys are virgins. Though Sam has known for a while that he is gay, has even had some boyfriends, he is saving himself for a committed relationship. Kyle has barely admitted he is gay and is far from having ever acted upon it.

Kyle takes to the farm like a duck to water and when he meets Sam, their attraction is instantaneous. Kyle has seen Sam in a dream, and Sam is immediately protective of the obviously abused Kyle.

Sam essentially takes on the job of showing Kyle the world as a gay young man and helps him to identify and normalize his feelings. Sams family is also amazing in this capacity, helping Kyle to feel love for the first time since his father died a decade ago.

Kyle is a tough nut to crack though. He doesnt know how to handle these feelings, doesnt trust them, and he worries that Sam is either dating him because hes convenient or going to disappear forever once school starts up again. In either case, he wants to protect his heart, so he keeps his distance.

Almost reluctantly, Kyle agrees to date Sam and together they tentatively explore the physical side of their relationship. The summer moves quickly and the boys find that though they are really thinking they might be in love, they dont think the relationship can withstand long distance. So they essentially break up.

Time and again Kyle finds himself in abusive situations (both over the summer and at school), and it isnt until he meets some supportive friends at art school that he takes measures to learn some self defense.

Yes always it's a great story.

Not typical of most NA books

This NA story is not typical for the genre; it's not full of angst or rebellion or pain. It is a simple story of love at first sight. While the characters do face certain obstacles to their happiness, the characters continued to feel a little naive to me and I never felt they grew as characters or people very much.

The first book is written in first person and is entirely from Emma's POV. The second book was still written in first person, but suddenly the author starts head hopping. Thankfully, each change of POV is titled with whose head we are in. But after spending an entire previous book hearing only Emma's POV, every single switch jarred me out of the story. I never did feel like I understood the other characters. Please note that the narrator did a great job of differentiating the voices; it wasn't her fault that I couldn't get into the other POVs.

A sweet romance ...

What did you like best about this story?

Brandon was so committed to Emma. There was a time in the second story that he could have completely left her but chose to stay instead.

Emma was my favorite character. It was her story to tell and Ms. Barrington gave Emma a true voice. I could feel her emotions.

Sweet romantic Story

A romantic story of love at first sight. Two people coming together for the first time but love started so fast. and so full of love and family. A special treat for the young one who wanted a mommy for Christmas. Love it

Two sweet, but brief romances

This is a twofer, you get A Mommy For Christmas and a short bonus read of Meant To Be Always. They are both fairly wholesome romances. That means closed bedroom door, although there isn't really and bedroom action. It is a few sedate kisses at best.

The first book has Melanie and Jackson, who are both healing from life. Jackson from his wife's passing and caring for his young daughter. Melanie from a broken engagement and a want for motherhood.

The story alternates between bother of their POV, I prefer this sort of mixed narrative. It really makes for a fuller story.

This story is super short, it really could be lengthened and have the romance play out over a longer period of time. While it was a sweet read, it did leave me wanting more story.

The second story is even shorter and less believable. Maddie and Brice, have great chemistry but one night does not forever make. This is another story that would benefit from more length to truly develop the romance.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Tiffany Williams, who does a lovely job. Her voice and energy are perfectly suited to this sweet romance. I enjoyed her character's voices and the distinctions she gave them. It was always clear who was speaking. Her tone has a soft and feminine quality that is great for a sappy love story. I would love to hear more of her reads in this genre.

These are two quick Holiday reads that have a lovely premise. I would enjoy reading more of this author and seeing her expand her romances into longer novels. I think she has so much to offer and length would enhance the relationships she creates.

A Mommy for Christmas and its bonus story As you Wish are what I would call novells/short stories. While the plots of both stories had potential for longer books, I felt that they were a little rushed to be short stories. Too much happening for the length of the story. If Ms. Zwissler fleshed out the stories a little more they would be great novels.

I enjoyed Ms. Williams performances of these two books. She does great children's voices. I would like to listen to more of her work.

At 1 hour and 40 minutes, these stories can easily be listened to in one sitting.

I would recommend these stories to someone who likes 'lite/sweet' romance.
